Fogale's "Body Angel" Anti-Collision Sensors for Medical Machines at RSNA Trade Show in Chicago This November

Chicago, November 6, 2007

FOGALE nanotech, a world-known reference in the field of high-accuracy dimensional sensors and systems, announces the new version of its anti-collision sensor "Body Angel" for medical imaging machines that now includes 3-D contouring functions for boosted performance. The company will present this device at the RSNA trade show in Chicago from Nov. 25 to 30 at booth 5419.

Based upon capacitive technologies, the Body Angel system, already installed on many medical imaging machines, is ready for an easy integration in any kind of machines (vascular, radiology, etc.). It boasts adaptable sensor shapes, transparency to X-rays, easy communication with an external CPU, and now provides both an anti-collision safety function and can simultaneously perform 3-D contouring of patient for higher and outstanding efficiency.

The Body Angel line includes three kinds of sensors: Body Angel Ring performs front detection with a simple ring on the unit head, Body Angel Side performs side detection, and Body Angel Antenna is an X-ray-transparent sensor. All sensors can be integrated onto existing devices without modifying design or external aspects.
