Designed for backlighting two 10-15 in. industrial LCD panels, Model LS6D0812A-RH provides dual LCD panel capability, and features brightness/backlight on-off control and 5 V (Typ) alarm output if inverter detects CCFL open condition in LCD display systems. RoHS-compliant unit provides 12 Vdc input, output current of 3-6 mArms per lamp, 1,500 Vrms start-up voltage, 1 A maximum input current, and operating and storage temperature ranges of -20 to +70°C and -30 to +85°C, respectively.

INC., announces the LS6D0812A-RH-the latest addition to its extensive line-up of compact, low-profile DC-to-AC inverters for driving cold-cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) in Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) back-lighting applications. The high-efficiency LS6D0812A-RH is designed specifically for use with 10-15 in. industrial-grade LCD panels widely used in medical electronics, machine tools, digital signage, point-of-sale/kiosks, touch-screen and test & measurement equipment applications. The device provides dual LCD panel capability, and features brightness/backlight on-off control and a useful 5V (typ.) alarm output if the inverter detects a CCFL open condition in the LCD display systems.
Available now in OEM quantities, the RoHS-compliant LS6D0812A-RH LCD backlight driver provides an input of 12Vdc and an output current of 3-6mArms per lamp. The device's CCFL driving circuit includes a self-oscillating DC-to-AC converter, known as a Royer circuit, which minimizes EMI compared to other control methods. Total device power output is 3.5W per lamp, or 7W total. Physically, the LS6D0812A-RH measures only 6.02 in. (153mm) L X 0.85 in. (21.5mm) W X 0.39 in. (10mm) H. Other (typical) specifications include 1500Vrms start-up voltage, 1A maximum input current and wide operating and storage temperature ranges of -20 to +70C and -30 to +85C, respectively.
