Bosch Expands Specialty Line with Sheet Metal Hole Saw
Cut Materials Automatically Ejected While Keeping Surface Intact
Mount Prospect, Ill., September 7, 2007 - Bosch Power Tools and Accessories has introduced a new line of hole saws designed specifically to work with sheet metal applications. The saws last up to three times longer and cut three times faster than the competition.
These bi-metal hole saws are equipped with a spring for automatic material ejection, a variable tooth pitch that is optimized for perfectly round holes, and a lipped-edge that acts as a safety stopper, which prevents breakthrough and leaves the work surface intact. Threads are extended and reinforced for longer life and durability when cutting in hot metal applications.
"Bosch's sheet metal hole saw represents a major upgrade to existing hole saws. The lipped-edge prevents dimpling and deforming of the material being cut," states James Mogle, Product Manager, Bosch Power Tools and Accessories. "The variable tooth pitch eliminates jagged or burred edges, and the spring both ensures that the plug is properly ejected and increases cutting speed."
The sheet metal hole saw line-up includes 30 different cup sizes. For professionals, Bosch offers two kits - a 15-piece or a 23-piece set. The 15-piece kit has six cups ranging from 7/8" to 2-½" and the 23-piece offers 10 cups ranging from ¾" to 3". Both kits include Bosch's patented Quick Change mandrel, adapter nuts, and springs.
The new sheet metal hole saws are fully adaptable with Bosch's quick change system that allows users to easily change between hole saw sizes in seconds.
