Adjustable locking aluminum and plastic handle has 2 connection points for stability, and can be used for multi-positional carrying or bench-top use. Series features 4 scuff-resistant anti-skid feet, 2 of which have foldable bails. Case allows dissipation of heat without need for ventilation, providing EMI shielding and protection to instruments.

New Bud Aluminum Instrument Case Offers Durable, Portable Design


CLEVELAND - October 2, 2007 - Bud Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic enclosures, has introduced the IA Series of portable aluminum instrument cases, with a unique design that meets the increasing need for portability and durability in instrumentation.

Today's smaller electronics have made portability possible in applications where it wasn't possible before, including medical and environmental monitoring equipment used in such environments as hospitals, chemical labs, and others. Using Bud's new enclosure, designs can be made portable without sacrificing the advantages of a metal case.

The IA Series' extruded aluminum body protects its high-tech contents while keeping the unit lightweight enough for easy transporting. Its adjustable locking aluminum and plastic handle has two connection points for maximum stability, and can be easily used for multi-positional carrying or bench-top use. The IA Series features four scuff-resistant anti-skid feet - two of which have foldable bails - to enhance its strength and stability.

The aluminum construction of the IA Series portable aluminum instrument case allows dissipation of heat without the need for ventilation. As a result, the instruments inside remain completely enclosed, providing some EMI shielding and protection from the elements. The IA Series' aluminum body features plastic front and rear bezels, as well as extruded internal grooves for horizontal mounting of a circuit board, chassis or panel. Its removable front and rear panels with protective plastic film allow for easy machining with scratch protection.

The IA Series portable aluminum instrument case comes in four sizes ranging from 2.72 by 4.92 inches up to 8.27 by 10.16 inches. The depth of each unit is 12.93 inches. The powder-coated aluminum body of the IA Series is earth tone with light brown plastic bezels, natural aluminum panels, and light gray plastic and anodized aluminum on the handle.
