Continental's Highly Advanced Super-Two Is Now Available
October 3, 2007
Continental Access welcomes the introduction of our new Super-Two, an Intelligent Controller. This highly advanced expandable controller can support all access control functions for one or two doors. This distributed processor-based controller will operate as a standalone unit in the event that server communications are interrupted.
Super-Two features 8 supervised inputs (expandable to 56) and 5 Form C rated 3A@24VDC/VAC standard outputs (expandable to 53). 20,000 cards are supported, making it one of our most prized controllers. Super-Two is programmed with Continental's Card Access® software, a Windows based access control, security management and video integration solution. Once programmed, the controller will not require continuous server communications. It automatically stores systems transactions in its internal memory. Super-Two's memory is field expandable allowing for even greater cardholder populations and/or a larger transaction buffer.
Super-Two features extensive multi-stage lightning/transient protection on-board for maximum reliability even in harsh environments. Moreover, firmware upgrades are easily downloaded from the server when additional features are added. At Continental, we strive to produce products that work instinctively with other industry standard equipment. We are proud to announce that Super-Two accepts standard Wiegand output devices as well as all card/reader technologies including Proximity, Smartcard, Biometric, Magnetic Stripe and Barcode.
For applications requiring more inputs/outputs, the Continental Access Super-Two I/O Combo Supervised Alarm/Relay Expander is designed to expand the capability of the Super-Two Access Control panel. Each I/O board allows for an additional 16 supervised alarm inputs and 16 Form C Relay outputs. The user may add a maximum of three (3) additional I/O boards per Super-Two.
