Three New Roll Rebuilding Alloys Offered by Select-Arc

August 28, 2007

Fort Loramie, OH - Select-Arc, Inc. has introduced three hardsurfacing electrodes which are designed to serve as roll rebuilding alloys.

SelectWear 420-S is a submerged arc electrode which delivers a weld deposit that has good resistance to hot wear, fire cracking and corrosion. It is well suited for welding steel mill caster rolls and idler rolls.

A martensitic stainless steel electrode like 420-S, SelectWear 423-S provides improved resistance to thermal fatigue and corrosion in addition to excellent wear resistance and high hot hardness. This submerged arc wire is used to weld steel mill caster rolls and table rolls.

SelectWear Zucaro-O is a self-shielded electrode specifically designed to weld sugar cane crusher rolls.

For more information on SelectWear 420-S, SelectWear 423-S and SelectWear Zucaro-O hardsurfacing electrodes, call Select-Arc at 1-800-341-5215 or visit our website at www.select-arc.com.
