Condenser Lenses are suited for illumination applications.

September 4, 2007 - Capable of collecting and directing light from angular area sources, Commercial Grade Large PCX Condenser Lenses are available in sizes from 100-200 mm in dia. Large plano-convex (PCX) lenses can be used in large format projectors, spotlights, and enlargers, and are made of polished BK7 glass. By using 2 condenser lenses of the same focal length, users can produce system with half the focal length of single lens, which provides lower f/#.

Anchor OpticsŪ Releases Large PCX Condenser Lenses

August 23, 2007, Barrington, NJ. Anchor OpticsŪ, the preferred provider for Affordable Quality Optics, today announced the availability of Commercial Grade Large PCX Condenser Lenses. Our large plano-convex (PCX) condenser lenses, used in illumination applications, are ideal for collecting and directing light from a large angular area sources.

A larger lens equals a greater area with which to collect light. Available in sizes from 100 mm to 200 mm in diameter - these lenses can be used in large format projectors, spotlights and enlargers. By using two condenser lenses of the same focal length, you can produce a system with half the focal length of a single lens, which provides a lower f/#, increasing the light gathering capacity of the system. Anchor OpticsŪ' Commercial Grade Large PCX Condenser Lenses are made of polished BK7 glass, which provide increased surface quality over standard cast molded condenser lenses.
