Superior Localization Options for Software and Documents
Multilizer 2007 introduces over 50 new features to streamline software localization, speed up application rollouts, reduce costs and facilitate collaboration in a development team.
HELSINKI, Finland - July 11, 2007: Multilizer, leader in localization software, today announces Multilizer 2007, a radically re-written software localization tool that now introduces a plug-in architecture, over 50 new features to streamline translation, quality assurance, and project management across the entire software localization lifecycle. Also new to Multilizer 2007 is its document-oriented nature, which allows using it to localize content.
Multilizer has been evolving over the past 12 years. It began as a typical software localization utility but kept up with technology changes and now stands as the choice software for many of the Fortune 1000 companies, such as Intel Corp., Compaq, Nokia, and Xerox. Taking advantage of the expertise that has established Multilizer product line as a widely adopted standard in software localization, the newest version of the product extends its functionalities with new features that provide the following key benefits:
o Reduced software localization time and more reliable translation through the use of productivity modules called 'experts'. This includes Language Expert, Pseudo Language Expert, Quality Expert, Productivity Expert and Statistics Expert.
o Increased localization efficiency through translation sharing. The translation task can be outsourced and delegated to a translator from another company who can use Free Translator Edition to localize the project file (no source code is included).
o Compatibility with most platforms and development tools, including Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft Win32, Borland C++ Builder all versions, Borland Delphi all versions since year 1997, Visual Basic 6, Java, etc. Some of the supported file formats are XML, INI, KEY, and XLIFF. The plug-in architecture of Multilizer 2007 allows users to expand the default set of formats with additional plug-ins for localization of databases, PowerPoint slideshow presentations, etc.
o More control over the localization project thanks to the Multilizer's ability to detect changes in the localization source. If a string has been removed, added or modified, this change will be tagged and users will see changes at one glance.
