Toshiba Teli America, Inc. Launches Its Fastest Camera at International Robots and Vision Show
CSB1000 CMOS-based Megapixel Camera Outputs Up to 1722 Frames-Per-Second at VGA, Optimal for Real-Time Inspection
ROSEMONT, IL, June 12, 2007 (Booth #509) - Toshiba Teli America, Inc., the North American subsidiary of Toshiba Teli Corporation, is debuting today at the International Robots & Vision Show its new CSB1000, the company's fastest camera to date, boasting uncompressed frame rates of 443 fps at 1280 x 1024 resolution for high-speed, smear-free image capture in the most demanding machine visions environments.
"The CSB1000 was developed to take full advantage of the increasing processing power of today's CPUs," explained Doug Freck, President/CEO, Toshiba Teli America, Inc. "By successfully utilizing a highly-sensitive 1.3 megapixel sensor the CSB1000 is further proof of Toshiba Teli's leadership in applying CMOS technology in vision systems."
When combined with the X64-CLP Camera LinkŪ (8 Bit, 40MHz) frame grabber manufactured by DALSA CORECO exclusively for Toshiba Teli, the CSB1000 delivers reliable inspection of consumer goods, semiconductors, packaging, electronics assembly, continuous web and other applications that demand high-speed inspection.
Compact and easily mounted, the monochrome CSB1000 offers the versatility of Window of Interest (WOI) functionality that speeds up image processing by reading only arbitrary regions designated by the end-user. By utilizing WOI, the CSB1000 will achieve image readout as high as 1722 fps at VGA resolution. Other performance-enhancing features are Global Shutter for simultaneous exposure of all pixels without smear or distortion, and Dual Slope for optimal wide dynamic range.
The CSB1000 uses standard C-Mount lenses and 12V DC power.
