Kemet Expands Surface-Mount MLCC C0G Platform: Portfolio Includes Several First-To-Market Values

Greenville, South Carolina (May 25, 2007) - KEMET Corporation (NYSE:KEM) is pleased to announce the release of several new MLCC products in C0G dielectric. These new additions to the company's C0G portfolio boast industry-leading capacitance values, including several first-to-market values.

Capacitance values have been extended in 25V rated EIA 0402, 0603, 0805,
1206 and 1210 case sizes. Tolerance offerings include F (±1%); G (±2%); J (±5%); K (±10%); and M (±20%). The Marquee HiCV values being offered with this release are:

1210, 0.22µF, 25V (first-to-market)

1206, 0.1µF, 25V

0805, 0.033µF, 25V (first-to-market)

0603, 0.01µF, 25V (first-to-market)

0402, 0.001µF, 25V

With an operating temperature range between -55 degrees Celsius and +125 degrees Celsius with zero bias capacitance shift limited to ±30ppm per degree C over that range, these HiCV capacitors are ideal for mobile communications, automotive electrical circuits, and power supply circuits.

They are especially well suited for audio applications and microphonics.

All of these components are RoHS-compliant and come with 100% pure matte tin-plated terminations for excellent solderability. They are available in commercial and automotive grades, and meet the requirements of AEC Q200 Rev. C. They range in price from $0.02 to $3.60 each.

KEMET is continually developing its C0G portfolio and plans to add expanded values of 50 and 100 volts in the near future. The company also plans to introduce two additional HiCV values in EIA 1812 and 2220 case sizes, ranging from 0.47µF to 1.0µF.

KEMET Corporation applies world-class service and quality to deliver industry-leading, high-performance capacitance solutions to its customers around the world. KEMET offers the world's most complete line of surface-mount and through-hole capacitor technologies across tantalum, ceramic, aluminum, film and paper dielectrics. KEMET's common stock is listed on The New York Stock Exchange under the symbol KEM. Additional information can be found at http://www.kemet.com.
