Wastewater Treatment System employs PEF processing.

January 26, 2007 - Utilizing electroporation process, Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) System destroys cell membranes by applying 1-20 µsec, 35-50 kV/cm high voltage pulses at frequencies up to 2 KHz across wastewater stream. Available in sizes from 10,000 lph, system speeds anaerobic digestion process of cells to help reduce solid waste output. Unit features treatment chamber and separate rack that houses power supply, pulse modulator, controls, and data loggers.

Wastewater Treatment System Employs Pulsed Electric Field Processing

A PEF (pulsed electric field) wastewater treatment system that operates through a process of electroporation in cells to accelerate pre-digestion and results in up to 80% less solid waste output is being introduced by Diversified Technologies, Inc. of Bedford, Massachusetts.

Diversified Technologies' Wastewater Treatment PEF System destroys cell membranes by applying 1 to 20 microsecond, 35-50 kV/cm high voltage pulses at frequencies up to 2 KHz across the wastewater stream. Facilitating the anerobic digestion process of the cells, this system is available in sizes from 10,000 LPH up and reduces the solid waste output by up to 80%.

Featuring a treatment chamber and separate rack housing a power supply, pulse modulator, the controls and data loggers, Diversified Technologies' Wastewater Treatment PEF System can be easily integrated into existing facilities. Specific systems for water disinfection are also available.

Diversified Technologies' Wastewater Treatment PEF Systems are priced from $300,000.00 up, depending upon size and configuration. Literature is available upon request.
