New! Arcworld IV-6200 Solution Provides Hyperproductivity® with Dual Robots, Faster Positioner

Dayton, Ohio - The new Motoman ArcWorld® IV-6200 solution features dual EA1400N "Expert Arc" welding robots with multiple robot control, a high-speed ferris-wheel positioner, integrated welding package, operator interface and a total safety environment. Independent drive on each of the three positioner axes allows the operator to index the load station or allows both stations to turn while the positioner sweeps, saving cycle time.

MRM2-250M3X and MRM2-750M3X FERRIS-WHEEL STYLE PART POSITIONERS
The MRM2-250/750M3X positioner(s) features the fastest indexing time in its class. It is available with 250 kg (551.3 lb) or 750 kg (1,653.8 lb) payloads. The 250 kg payload version indexes in 1.5 seconds; the 750 kg payload version indexes in 2.25 seconds.

The positioner is available in standard lengths of 2.0 and 3.0 meters between mounting surfaces, but can easily be extended. It provides a turning diameter of 1.3 meters (51.2") to accommodate large parts and tooling.

The MRM2-250/750M3X utilizes independent servo motor drives on each of its three axes for high-speed positioning. This reduces cycle times by allowing fixtures to rotate into working position while the main sweep axis indexes between stations. Application flexibility is also a benefit because the load station can be programmed to a more ergonomic friendly orientation. The operator can also jog the load station if manual tack welding is required.

The positioner utilizes MotoMount(TM) fixture mounting system. This patent-pending design eliminates stresses from poor fixture alignment from being transferred into the bearings or servo drives. MotoMount also provides a horizontal mounting surface with locating pins for easier fixture changeover.

ARCWORLD IV-6000 SERIES OPTIONS
The workcell is available with Motoman's leading multiple robot control technology. Two, three or even four welding robots can be incorporated into the cell and controlled from a single teach pendant. In addition, the single and dual robot AWIV variations are available with the longer reach EA1900N robot.

The ArcWorld workcell is available with an optional tip change window. This provides an interlocked door on the workcell where operators can service consumables on the welding torch without the need to enter the workcell.

It can also be combined with automatic tip checking devices such as ToolSight or ToolSight6D. ToolSight is designed to automatically detect variation in wire position (TCP) before parts are produced.
