Extech Data Systems Announces S4000T Versatile Receipt Printer

Ultra-Lightweight Portable Receipt Printer Suitable for Various Applications

Waltham, MA - Extech Data Systems, a leading developer of portable printers for enterprise-wide applications, announces its new portable S4000T four inch receipt printer. With its contemporary design and three wireless options, the lightweight S4000T is designed mainly for desk-top and in-vehicle applications. .

The S4000T comes equipped with an optional rechargeable lithium ion battery capability which makes it an ideal printer for vehicle based applications where the driver also needs to occasionally take the printer from the cab,. The battery can be charged through the vehicle system or an available two-bay battery charger makes both internal and external charging possible. The S4000T weighs as little as 24 ounces.

A clamshell-style loading system and push-button release for the paper door make changing paper rolls easy and convenient. Built-in detectors monitor temperature, voltage, and paper-out.

The system has built-in Flash and SRAM memory to manage all features supported by the printer. Multiple communication interfaces including an optional integrated Bluetooth(TM) radio are available.

The printer is in-field programmable for firmware, font and logo setup. Print drivers are available for Windows 95, 98, 2000, and XP, and print utilities are offered for all CE and Palm-based operating systems. Special features include resident fonts enabling 10 to 25 characters per inch and an optional built-in ISO standard 3-track micro magnetic-card-reader and/or smart card reader. The printer comes with a 12-month warranty on all parts including print head.
