Vonage and D-Link Launch a Co-Branded Wireless-B/G Broadband Router Bundled with Vonage® Service
Recognizing the Need to Offer Consumers More Choices for Telephony and Wireless Networking, Vonage and D-Link are Enhancing the Way People Communicate
HOLMDEL, N.J., Aug. 23 / - Vonage America Inc. a subsidiary of Vonage Holdings Corp. (NYSE:VG), a leading broadband phone company and D-Link, an end-to-end networking solutions provider, today announced, the availability of the VWR, a Wireless-B/G Broadband Router with 2 phone ports bundled with Vonage's service. This new device will be available at http://www.vonage.com/ for $59.99, after a $40 instant rebate.*
This D-Link VWR is four devices in one box. It includes a Wireless-B/G Access Point; a built-in 4-port switch to connect wired Ethernet devices; a router function so the entire network can securely share a single cable or DSL Internet connection, and two standard telephone jacks, allowing for multiple phone lines. Bundled with Vonage's Internet telephony service, customers get a complete solution in one box - the hardware and service they need to start talking. The VWR is a perfect choice for consumers who want the added benefit of easily setting up a Wireless B/G network along with their Vonage phone service.
The product incorporates Texas Instruments' TNETV1060 VoIP gateway chipset, delivering high-performance voice processing and data routing functions, and further enhancing the quality and feature offerings of Vonage's Internet telephony service for subscribers.
