Synergy 3000 Ushers in New Breed of SPC Applications
Cincinnati, OH - Zontec Inc. has announced the release of Synergy 3000(TM) Statistical Process Control (SPC) software, the quality industry's first true "SPC web application," which has been developed using Microsoft's .NET ("dot-net") computing platform.
By choosing .NET for its development environment, Zontec takes advantage of Microsoft component-oriented tools and programming languages for creating next-generation software applications. The .NET framework gives Synergy 3000 users a great deal of flexibility in how the SPC application can be hosted. It can run as a traditional Windows XP or Vista desktop application or hosted within any popular Web browser.

A great improvement over ODBC
Another Synergy 3000 design breakthrough is native SQL database connectivity that is shared by both Windows and Web users in real time. Businesses may choose to license Synergy 3000 for Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases. The data access component of .NET gives Zontec a much more highly evolved and efficient data-handling model than offered by 1990s ODBC technology. Therefore, Database Administrators will notice that their facilities for interacting with a relational database are simpler, more transparent and have been optimized and tuned for higher performance.

A powerful query feature aids in product traceability and the generation of audit trails for ISO, QS, TS, or contract compliance.
