September 11, 2006 - GBA Master Series® v6.72 enables management of sanitary and storm sewers, water distribution systems, transportation systems, fleet and equipment, facilities, parks, and trees. Functionality includes work order management, customer complaint and service request tracking, parts and materials inventory control, preventive maintenance scheduling, budgeting, and GIS mapping. It can be integrated with mobile applications, and includes work order templates for scheduling routine tasks.

Infrastructure Management Software Creator gbaMS Unveils New Release


Overland Park, Kan. - Last month, GBA Master Series, Inc., (gbaMS) released version 6.72 of its infrastructure management software suite. The new upgrade includes numerous new and enhanced features for its maintenance management, asset management and GIS-mapping applications.

"The latest version of our software focuses largely on improvements that affect all of our applications," President and CEO Don Pinkston said. "However, with this release we have also dedicated a considerable amount of our development efforts toward expanding the capabilities of our transportation and GIS applications. The outcome of this release will help software users approach transportation management and GIS-mapping with more solutions than in former releases."

Highlights from the 6.72 upgrade include:

o Changes and improvements to PM work order templates for scheduling future and routine tasks.
o Option for automatic patch and service pack installations (including support of Microsoft® Service Management System), as appropriate to the system.
o Extensive enhancements in pavement management capabilities.
o Expanded functionality in water module.
o Added customization, allowing users to custom-tailor many fields and any tab.
o Added functions such as Spell Checker, Quick Browse, Building Suffix and Street Prefix.
o Several new modules and programs: Project Management System, Parking, Parking Inspection, Facilities Asset, Facility Financial, Property Key Management, Water Loss, Water Flushing Route, Water Flushing History.
o Improved functionality for integration with mobile applications.
