Cooper Wiring Devices Introduces New Mid-Size Thermoplastic Wallplates

Long Island City, New York, March 1, 2002 - A new line of Mid-Size Thermoplastic Wallplates designed to cover electrical system installation gaps, and to meet growing demand for the contemporary "oversize look", has been introduced by Cooper Wiring Devices.

The new line of Mid-size Wallplates adds a full 0.375" (9.525mm) on all sides to NEMA standard-size plates, providing needed gap coverage for over cuts or other large wallboard-to-box openings. Tough, virtually unbreakable polycarbonate plastic construction provides high structural rigidity and superior resistance to warping, impact, and abrasion. The line's high-gloss finish is resistant to soil adherence and cleans easily when compared to textured nylon surfaces.

The line is UL listed and CSA certified and meets NEMA WD-1 and WD-6 compliances.

The new line includes 25 different configurations for toggle switches, receptacles, decorator, blank, power receptacles, telephone/coaxial cable, combination devices and pre-marked special uses.

A product specification sheet for Cooper Wiring Devices' new Mid-Size Thermoplastic Wallplates is available by calling 1-800-315-0779, faxing 1-860-584-4759, or e-mailing cooperwiringdevices@mdfsystems.com and asking for department CWD 9-MIDSIZE-02.

Headquartered in Long Island City, New York, Cooper Wiring Devices is a division of Cooper Industries that provides over 10,000 electrical wiring device products for industrial, commercial and residential applications. Web site: www.cooperviringdevices.com.
