STOCKO Provides Zero Insertion Force Connectors For Electronics Applications

BURGAW, N.C. (February 6, 2002) -STOCKO Contact Corp, a member of the Wieland Group has devised the Eco-Lock connector system for flexible flat cable/fine pitch connector (FFC/FPC) applications. Available in 1mm and 1.25mm pitch versions, STOCKO's Eco-Lock connectors enable zero insertion force (ZIF) terminations with a locking cover that may be retracted to reopen contacts for optimal design flexibility.

"The Eco-Lock connector series provides a very simple interconnection option for designers in the electronics industry," said STOCKO Product Manager, Robert Ourt. "Using a ZIF design flat ribbon cable and flexible board connections are as easy as inserting the wire and pressing down the cover."

The Eco-Lock connector series is available in 4-30 pole configurations for a 1mm pitch surface mount version and 5-35 poles for the 1.25mm pitch fork-type contact version. Both styles are available in horizontal and vertical configurations. Eco-Lock connectors hold VDE certifications. Pricing for the 1.00mm pitch version begins at $.42 each and $.38 each for the 1.25mm version.
