Intelligent Video Scaler utilizes 3 different algorithms.

February 27, 2002 - Deuce® SDQ automatically selects most effective motion compensation method based upon source material being scaled (adaptive frame using 3:2 pulldown, vertical temporal or static mesh). It accepts composite, S-Video and Y-CB-CR component input in NTSC or PAL standards. Output resolutions include 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, line double and line quadruple. Unit includes non-volatile memory, RS-232 remote control and universal input power supply.

New Deuce SDQ offers Versatility and Affordability! Communications Specialties Unveils the Newest Deuce® Family Member

Hauppauge, NY - New from Communications Specialties, Inc. - Deuce® SDQ Intelligent Video Scaler. This versatile scaler, line doubler and line quadrupler offers state-of-the-art signal processing technology, but with its no-frills design, does so at a fraction of the cost with a list price of $795.

Deuce SDQ offers the most sophisticated level of "intelligent" motion compensation processing available. Making use of three different algorithms (adaptive frame using inverse 3:2 pulldown, vertical temporal or static mesh), the scaler automatically selects the most effective motion compensation method or combination of methods based upon the source material being scaled. "When designing Deuce SDQ, our goal was to create a product that would provide a video scaling solution for the most price-conscious sector of the Home Theater and professional A/V markets," says John Lopinto, President and CEO. "By keeping the design simple, we were able to build a versatile scaler, line doubler and line quadrupler that offers quality performance, yet does so at an extremely affordable price."

Deuce SDQ accepts composite, S-Video and Y-CB-CR component inputs in NTSC or PAL standards. Intelligently scales to five output resolutions: 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024, line double and line quadruple. The simple front panel has a lockout function and a non-volatile memory remembers all settings. In addition, the compact unit boasts an RS-232 remote control and a universal input power supply.
