H2S Scrubber cleans gas streams before analysis.

January 30, 2002 - Reusable scrubber removes H2S and most other sulfur compounds from natural gas streams that are to be analyzed for oxygen content. Specific only to H2S, oxygen and other components in gas stream are not affected. Scrubber works on natural gas from wellheads, booster stations and pipelines. It is disposable or can be refilled for recycling. Assembly includes scrubber, flowmeter, filter, regulator, valves and all necessary SS fittings.

New, Reusable H2S Scrubber Assembly Removes Sulfur Compounds from Natural Gas Streams to be Analyzed for Oxygen Content

Scrubber is designed for oxygen monitoring of natural gas streams from wellheads, booster stations and pipelines

POMONA, CA (January 22, 2002) - A new, reusable and highly efficient H2S scrubber assembly is now available from Advanced Instruments Inc., a manufacturer of analytical instruments in Pomona, California. The scrubber removes H2S and most other sulfur compounds in excess of 50 parts-per-million (ppm) concentrations from natural gas streams to be analyzed for oxygen content. Specific only to H2S, oxygen and other components in the gas stream are not affected. Typical applications include the removal of H2S when that compound interferes with oxygen analysis. The scrubber is disposable and/or can be refilled for recycling.

Designed primarily for use with Advanced Instruments analyzers, the scrubber assembly will indicate its useful life through color conversion from green to black. The scrubber housing consists of a clear polymer, allowing a clear view of the contents.

Inlet and outlet pipe fittings are 1/4" stainless steel. Maximum allowable pressure/temperature is 30 psig and 130ºF. In addition to the scrubber package, the assembly contains provisions for various options: coalescing filter, flowmeter, sample and span valves, and a regulator with shutoff valve.

Scrubber lifetime is a function of the sample flowrate, the H2S concentration, and the volume of the scrubber. Two sizes are available: 2" x 24" and 1-1/2" x 12".

Typical continuous use lifetime for the 2" x 24" scrubber with a 100 cc/min. flow and a 1% H2S concentration is approximately 30 days. For the 1-1/2" x 12" scrubber, continuous use lifetime is approximately 20 days.

Price for the 2" x 24" scrubber is $500; the 1-1/2" x 12" scrubber sells for $225.

A complete assembly with scrubber, flowmeter, filter, regulator, valves and all necessary fittings costs $950. Delivery is from stock.

Advanced Instruments Inc. is a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of CSA approved and CE certified analyzers, electrochemical sensors and sample conditioning systems. All products are manufactured under the control of an ISO 9001 certified quality assurance program.
