November 23, 2009 - Housed in SOT953 package that measures 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.5 mm, 4-channel SP1004 Series provides ESD protection at maximum level of IEC61000-4-2 international standard (Level 4, ±8 kV contact discharge). Unit has 6 V reverse standoff voltage with low leakage of less than 0.1 µA at 5 V. It is suited for cell phones, smart phones, PDAs, MP3/PMP players, and portable navigation devices. With total capacitance of 5 pF, device is also usable for high-speed data lines and low-speed audio lines.

Littelfuse Introduces SP1004 Series, Four Channel, Bidirectional TVS Array for ESD Protection


Littelfuse, Inc. (NASDAQ/NGS:LFUS), today announced the introduction of the SP1004 Series, a high density, four channel, bidirectional TVS array.

The SP1004 comes in a SOT953 package that measures only 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.5mm while providing ESD protection at the maximum level of the IEC61000-4-2 international standard (Level 4, ±8kV contact discharge).

It is particularly suitable for handheld electronic devices such as cell phones, smart phones, PDAs, MP3/PMP players, portable navigation devices, and portable medical devices where board space is at a premium. Additionally, the total capacitance of only 5pF makes it usable for higher speed data lines as well as lower speed audio lines.

The new SP1004 Series is RoHS compliant and complies with the following standards:

ESD, IEC61000-4-2, ±8kV (contact), ±15kV (air)

Lightning, IEC61000-4-5, 2A (tP=8/20µs)

The SP1004 has a 6V reverse standoff voltage with extremely low leakage of <0.1uA at 5V.
