Powered by integrated brushless, 24 Vdc motor, MSC-EL maintenance-free mini-slide is available in different standard lengths and can travel to any position from 50-150 mm. Ready-to-install design requires users to screw it on, connect 3 cables, and parameterize up to 16 positions to be approached via PC. Max load is 5 kg for horizontal motion and 2.5 kg for vertical applications, and repeatable positioning is available to 0.01 mm.

Ready-to-Install Solution for Flexible Positioning Tasks Electrically Driven MSC-EL Mini-Slide from Rexroth
The new, ready-to-install MSC-EL mini-slide from Rexroth
Simply screw on, connect three cables, and parameterize the positions to be approached. The new, ready-to-install MSC-EL mini-slide with integrated electrical drive from Rexroth reduces the commissioning time required for customized handling systems to an absolute minimum. Available in different standard lengths, the mini-slide can travel to any position from 50 mm to 150 mm and has the same installation and cross-section dimensions as the pneumatically driven MSC mini-slide. Rexroth has thus, once again, further enhanced the interchangeability of different drive technologies within the camoLINE building system for handling solutions. The form-fit connection method, which features the Easy-2-Combine interface, provides for quick connection without the need for auxiliary adapter plates and extensive adjustment.
A brushless, 24V DC motor efficiently powers the new MSC-EL. With an integrated belt drive gear as well as a ball screw assembly and ball rail system lubricated for life, the maintenance-free unit achieves a very high performance density with compact dimensions. The maximum load is 5 kg for horizontal motion and 2.5 kg for vertical applications. A holding brake is available for vertical installation.
Rexroth has already predefined base axis-specific parameters in the sequence control system for the drive amplifier. Parameterization of the up to 16 positions takes place conveniently via a PC. The mini-slide reaches a high repeatable positioning of 0.01 mm and can be integrated into many automated structures with its digital I/Os. The drive controller also features a CANopen interface. Pre-assembled cable sets and standard electrical components reduce commissioning time substantially.
The enclosed unit improves safety and cleanliness in the work area. This is particularly important for applications in the automation, automotive, medical equipment, electronics, and semi-conductor industries. To this end, the mechatronics solution assumes linear handling tasks, including in conjunction with rotary modules and mechanical grippers.
