CCD Cameras offer 1, 2, or 8 megapixel resolution.

November 9, 2009 - Measuring 52 x 52 x 72 mm, SX Series incorporates Kodak's progressive scan interline CCD sensors, which use Quad-Tap technology. One megapixel sensor is configured as 1,024 x 1,024 pixel matrix, and depending on number of output taps used, can achieve speeds of 120 fps. Two megapixel sensor has horizontal and vertical resolutions of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels, respectively, with speeds up to 68 fps. Serving as digital interface, CameraLink Base minimizes latency time.

New Baumer Cameras Based on Kodak Sensors

Excellent image quality at high image rates

Resolutions of 1, 2 or 8 megapixel

Frame rates up to 120 fps

CameraLink Base for high transmission rates

Compact design (52 x 52 x 72 mm)

Baumer will introduce the new SX family of cameras which incorporate Kodak's high performance CCD sensors. Using advanced Quad-Tap technology, these Kodak progressive scan interline sensors combine high frame rates with very low image noise. They are available with a resolution of either 1 or 2 megapixels. The 1-megapixel sensor is configured as a 1024 x 1024 pixel matrix and, depending on the number of output taps used, can achieve speeds of 120 frames per second (fps). The 2-megapixel sensor has horizontal and vertical resolutions of 1600 x 1200 pixels respectively with speeds of up to 68 fps. With an industrial housing measuring 52 x 52 x 72 mm, the SX cameras integrate a very compact housing with a robust electronics design, making them the right choice for a wide range of applications.

CameraLink Base serves as the digital interface for the cameras. This industrial interface provides a high data throughput with minimum latency time. To simplify the integration of the SX cameras into your software envi-ronment, Baumer provides a modern SDK containing the proven Baumer-GAPI (a generic API), many code examples and documentation necessary for successful programming.
