New Monitored PDUs Provide Reliable Power Distribution with Centralized Network Monitoring of Power and Environmental Conditions
Chicago, IL (November 4, 2009)--Tripp Lite has added seven new Monitored models to its extensive line of network-grade Power Distribution Units. These new Monitored PDUs provide a network interface (RJ45 Ethernet) for remote monitoring and remote condition reporting of power and environmental conditions via SNMP, Web or telnet. A digital meter locally displays the connected equipment load in amps, which eliminates guesswork when installing new hardware. Two horizontal and five vertical models are available. Horizontal models are optimized for 1U rackmount installation; vertical models are optimized for 0U (vertical) rackmount installation.
Key Features and Benefits:
-- Assure reliable power distribution in high-availability IT applications such as mission-critical servers within rack enclosures
-- Pevent downtime by enabling automatic load threshold notification
-- Monitor ambient temperature, humidity and up to three dry contacts with optional ENVIROSENSE accessory, alerting you to the current conditions of your network infrastructure
-- Centralize management of hundreds of PDUs and environmental sensors with Tripp Lite's free PowerAlert Network Management System
-- Provide up to 24 high-quality outlets (5-15R, 5-15/20R, C13 or C19, depending on model)
-- Vertical models feature toolless button mount installation in Tripp Lite SmartRack(TM) and many third party enclosures
"Tripp Lite's new Monitored PDUs ease the task of remote power monitoring," said Rich Feldhaus, Tripp Lite Product Manager. "They offer reliable power distribution plus the ability to monitor power conditions remotely--a critical capability for applications that demand maximum uptime. By warning of potential overloads before critical circuit breakers become overloaded, they help IT managers avoid situations that can lead to costly system downtime."
