New Serial Filtration Technology Removes Black Powder

STRONGSVILLE, OH - November 4, 2009- Clark Reliance has developed a proprietary layering of filtration media used to produce a natural gas filtration element that delivers longer life and superior performance. The "Gas Sentinel Filter Element", featuring select serial filtration technology, helps eliminate troublesome solids and liquid carryover. Customers using Gas Sentinel elements have also seen improved equipment performance and reduced maintenance costs. With a proprietary pleat pack and the extended surface area, the elements handle high flow rates with exceptional dirt-holding capability to maximize the capture of black powder, iron oxides, salts, oil, and liquid contaminants found in natural gas.

The new filter element products have replaced conventional graded density elements to protect gas pipeline compressors. Graded density filter elements are prone to surface blinding, their exterior surfaces becoming caked with solids and salts. This type of particle distribution can severely reduce an element's dirt-holding ability. Gas Sentinel filter elements are designed to increase overall solids handling while maintaining low differential pressure.

Complete filter element and coalescing element cross reference and ordering information can be found at Clark Reliance's new aftermarket filtration element web site, www.ourelementskickgas.com. The web site allows search by both specification and part number, making it easy to find replacement elements.

For nearly 20 years, Clark Reliance has designed and built fuel gas conditioning systems for the world's leading gas turbine manufacturers. The company is the world's only single source maker of complete systems, including filtration elements, vessels and instrumentation for fuel gas conditioning.
