Atlona Technologies Releases New HDMI Long Distance Wall Plate Extenders over Cat5/6, the AT-HD-SR

Atlona Technologies, solutions based manufacturer of Audio Video accessories, has always prided itself on its extensive product line to not only create ease of use, but also fair and economical pricing. Cat5/6 is arguably one of the most inexpensive cables to use and can be terminated on site with ease. Most commercial, industrial and residential buildings built within the last couple of decades are already wired with such cables. With technology constantly growing at a competitive rate, HDMI is becoming increasingly popular in all environments. Atlona has recently released the latest addition to their pragmatic and accommodating wall plate Extender line with the AT-HD-SR.

This single gang HDMI wall plate Extenders will allow users to transmit HDMI signal up to 80 feet at resolutions up to 1080p, over dual CAT5 cables, and 100 feet with the use of CAT6. The AT-HD-SR consists of both a sender and receiver unit, which are both passive. Like other Atlona wall plates, this unit requires no power unlike many competitive brands. This new Atlona HDMI wall plate Extender is based on a unique technology which allows full support of HDMI 1.3 specifications including high resolutions up to 1080p and HD Audio Formats.

Along with the many wall plate options available through Atlona Technologies, using CAT5 or CAT6 can save hundreds of dollars on any A/V installation using High Definition video, rather than using expensive long runs of HDMI cable. Along with being HDCP and EDID compliant, installation is quick and easy. Atlona's AT-HD-SR is officially available now with an affordable MSRP of $79.00
