Mitsubishi Electric M- and P-Series Provide Unmatched Year-Round Comfort

SUWANEE, Ga., October 22, 2009 - Once again raising the bar in eco-comfort, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating Solutions is excited to announce the launch of the newest split-ductless M- and P-Series models. The STAR LINEUP features updated indoor and outdoor units designed for maximum energy efficiency, including 15 systems that are ENERGY STARŪ rated and nine that qualify for a federal tax credit.

"Our exclusive H2iŪ product line, recently expanded to include the MSZ-FE09/12 systems, provides superior heating performance, especially at low outdoor temperatures and is changing the way people think about the term heat pump," says Chuck Applebee, product manager, Mitsubishi Electric. "For example, at 5 degrees Fahrenheit outdoors, systems can deliver 100 percent capacity. And at minus 13 degrees Fahrenheit, the P-Series H2i system can operate at 75 percent of rated heating capacity and the M-Series at 62 percent."

The new P-Series units included in the STAR LINEUP also feature an enhanced look, increased moisture removal and improved HSPF.

The indoor units are compatible with both the PUY/PUZ-NHA3 and PUZ-HA-NHA2 outdoor units which emit low operating sound, 51 dB(A) in cooling mode and 55 dB(A) in heating mode.

According to Applebee, traditional heat pumps do not operate at such low temperatures with full capacity compared to the H2i product line. The INVERTER-driven compressor in the H2i P-Series outdoor unit varies its speed to precisely match the zone load requirements for year-round comfort and effective energy usage," says Applebee.
