Building on its industry-leading platform for Intelligent Information Management, StoredIQ's latest generation appliance - v5.0 - delivers innovative functionality that enhances and simplifies eDiscovery, Records Management, Information Governance, and Storage Management within the enterprise. Coupled with a highly scalable architecture and an elegant user interface, version 5.0 also includes novel features such as classification-based access control, as well as improved folder-based work flow between legal and IT.

StoredIQ v5.0 includes the following new features:
Data Access Control grants precise access to potentially responsive data for audits, investigations and eDiscovery requests based on automatic content classification, not just data source, such as a server, share or directory structure. This novel approach to document access control allows companies to create a classification that represents the data to be reviewed by specific individuals or legal teams prior to finalizing collection and preservation decisions - without having to move data or temporarily change the security privileges on each system for each file or email that needs to be reviewed.
The Scalable Storage Architecture leverages standard NAS devices from companies such as Dell and NetApp, giving organizations the flexibility to easily increase capacity as their enterprise and data volume grow over time. Additionally, StoredIQ's NAS integration, which is deeply integrated into the core StoredIQ product, offers improved compute node performance - benefiting large organizations that have high capacity requirements and need enterprise processing power and availability for indexing and managing their unstructured data.
Automated Systems Management Event Notification gives IT administrators a single, integrated SNMP MIB and automated, real-time alert system (email and SNMP alerts) that facilitates best practices for enterprise manageability and availability and enables administrators to easily monitor and respond to status changes.
Folder-based Navigation is an advanced graphical user interface which underpins matter and information management and workflows, simplifying both legal and IT management of multiple concurrent matters and regulatory compliance projects -- significantly improving productivity and collaboration among team members.
StoredIQ v5.0 also includes a companion product, the Just-in-Time Desktop Agent, which reduces desktop collection burden by well over 90 percent relative to competing solutions in the marketplace. Designed for organizations that have geographically distributed sites, a highly mobile workforce, or a large number of employees, this new product is centrally managed through the unified StoredIQ dashboard console, and includes the ability to stop, pause, and resume collections at any point. The network-friendly software agent can be installed only when necessary in order to filter and retrieve responsive data for investigations and electronic discovery projects, thus significantly reducing traffic on the enterprise network. In addition, the temporal Desktop Agent operates without disrupting end-users and can automatically remove itself upon completion of data collection, eliminating any burden on IT administrators.
