Weg Introduces CWC0 Miniature Contactors

Series offers smaller size, highest horsepower rating on the market

ATLANTA, Ga. September 15, 2009-WEG Electric Corp. (www.weg.net), a leading global
supplier of motors, drives, controls, transformers, and generators, introduces the new CWC0 Miniature Contactor Series, the smallest contactor on the market rated for 15Hp@460V.

Ideal for a wide range of applications, the CWC0 Miniature Contactor Series is a solution for areas with limited space and heavy-duty operations. Ideal for Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) applications, the CWC0 and its accessories are more compact and competitive than ever before.

The contactor is paired with the RDW Miniature Overload Relay to prevent electric motors from excessive heat and overload.

"The CWC0 series offers the biggest horsepower rating on the market for its size," Bruce Gaynor, WEG Product Manager. "Easier for engineering design, the miniature contactors are a solution for the most demanding applications, while saving space and money at the same time."

Suitable for AC-4 applications, the CWC0 is provides intermittent starting and full-load reversing in heavy-duty operations. Additionally, with low levels of contact bounces, the series has extended mechanical and electrical endurance. The CWC0 series is UL and CE certified.
