Multipin Connectors offer tool-less installation.

October 15, 2009 - Intended for commercial aircraft wiring systems, QM Rectangular Connectors feature quick-lock technology, which withstands shock, vibration, noise, and high temperatures. Track and mate is performed through rail mount installation without tools. Rails are manufactured with high-conductive metal plating on composite shells. Utilizing shell polarization positions and EPXB standard inserts, connectors offer integral strain relief with optional EMI backshell to meet severe airborne requirements.

Radiall Expands Multipin Connector Line

Featuring a tool-less installation for time-saving connect/disconnect

CHANDLER, Ariz., Oct. 8 / -- Radiall USA, Inc. expands its offering of multipin rectangular connectors with a unique tool-less QM interconnect solution for unmatched mating flexibility and long-lasting reliability for commercial aircraft wiring systems.

QM connectors offer outstanding electrical performance over legacy disconnect connectors due to their quick-lock technology. This design provides long-lasting, mechanical durability needed for harsh environments and duress found in aerospace applications to withstand shock, vibration, noise and high temperatures. Track and mate is easily performed through its rail mount installation without tools to easily slide and lock into place. This connector utilizes Radiall's exclusive shell polarization positions and patented EPXB standard inserts.

Originally developed to support Boeing's 787 wire integration requirements for final assembly, Radiall's QM connector is recognized as an industry standard "enabling technology," and has expanded into other aircraft and applications.

The connector's rails are manufactured with high-conductive metal plating on composite shells. Multiple standard lengths are available as well as optional standard ground blocks for shield terminations. In addition, integral strain relief with optional EMI backshell is offered often required in severe airborne requirements.
