Legrand/Pass & Seymour Announces Titan(TM) Series Fluorescent Commercial Dimmers

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (Sept. 28, 2009) - Legrand/Pass & Seymour, a leading manufacturer of electrical wiring devices and home systems, expanded its line of attractive and energy-efficient Titan(TM) Commercial Dimmers. The company now offers 3- and 4-wire dimmers for use with 120V and 277V fluorescent dimming ballasts.

Perfect for food service, retail and medical facilities, schools, institutions, boardrooms, places of worship or the hospitality industry, Titan Commercial Dimmers provide a complete solution for economical, multi-gang installations. End-users, electrical contractors and specifiers also benefit from aesthetic and energy-saving features, including three advancements unlike any offered by other commercial lighting product lines.

The first is a revolutionary cover plate system; each Titan Dimmer comes with all the parts needed to build a screwless multi-gang faceplate in the field. Never again will a contractor want to install a cluster of separate boxes on a wall. Titan's customizable wall plate system eliminates the need to invest in costly multi-gang plates and deal with long lead times.

"Everyone gets an attractive and finished installation that doesn't have to hide in an inconvenient back room or utility closet," said Keith Falkenberg, product manager at Legrand/Pass & Seymour. "The Titan system is flexible, so users can have any desired configuration within the same multi-gang box."

The Titan 3- and 4-wire Fluorescent Dimmers also include a low-end voltage adjustment feature, allowing a building manager to adjust the low end output voltage without compromising the slider's full dimming range. This saves energy and money, and extends the lamp life.

Finally, Titan continues to offer better identification with its easy-to-use labeling system. Simply print labels using standard templates available on any computer. Then cut the labels from the paper and insert them into the clear window slots on each Titan cover plate. Labels are protected from fingerprints, dirt and moisture to maintain a professional look - no more unsightly freehand marker labels.

Each new dimmer includes all of the standard Legrand/Pass & Seymour features, like surge and static protection, power failure memory, an enclosed slider to prevent dust and dirt contamination, and a matte finish to resist fingerprints. The dimmers are available in single pole slide-to-off and single pole/3-way preset models.

To complete the room's look, an adaptor kit permits installation of other decorator opening devices under the Titan face plate system. Colors include white, light almond, ivory, black, brown and gray.

Like all Legrand/Pass & Seymour dimmers, Titan comes with a lifetime warranty.
