UHF RFID Reader employs RTOS to meet reliability standards.

October 2, 2009 - Models 227003-9-RW and 227003-8-RW, respectively operating at 915 and 868 MHz, offer real-time performance for collecting, managing, and transferring information. Each intelligent interrogator can communicate with RFID tags within 100 m read zone using UHF RF technology and anti-collision algorithm. Four simultaneously operating antennas receive and measure tag signals for identification and positioning, while internal real-time clock provides precise time stamps for data.

Ultra-High Frequency (UHF) RFID Reader with RTOS

Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) offers this long-rang UHF RFID reader which includes two models: model 227003-9-RW operating at 915 MHz and model 227003-8-RW operating at 868MHz. These intelligent, long-range interrogators offer highly accurate, real-time data collection and provide optimum performance for collecting, managing and transferring information. These UHF RFID readers communicate with a large number of RFID tags accurately within a read zone of 100m by using UHF radio frequency technology and an anti-collision algorithm. The real-time operating system enables the readers to meet industrial requirements in reliability and robustness.

This long-range RFID reader, model 227003, is equipped with four simultaneously operating antennas, which receive and measure tag signals effectively and ensure fast and reliable tag identification and provide parameters for tag positioning. With an additional transmission-only antenna, the readers also provide wide-range wake-up capability for tags while moving at high speed. The internal real-time clock provides precise time stamps for data. Up to 2,000 messages can be stored and up to 2,000 tags can be identified simultaneously at an identification rate of 100tag/s. The portable UHF RFID readers offer four digital inputs and four relay outputs to ensure efficient operation of synchronization and control of external processes. The highly reliable RFID reader series supports SNMP remote management from a centralized location to facilitate Web based maintenance. Remote diagnostic and configuration are provided to monitor equipment for fast troubleshooting response time to min imize equipment down time.
