Murrelektronik M12 Lite Connectors Ideal for Harsh Environments

Duluth, Georgia, September 25, 2009 - Murrelektronik has added a plastic model to its comprehensive portfolio of M12 round plug connectors. Ideal for applications exposed to harsh operating environments, the corrosion-resistant M12 Lite is a suitable and economic alternative to the resistant but costly M12 stainless steel models.

M12 Lite features all of the advantages of Murrelektronik's M12 connectors, including the green contact carrier and integrated hex screw and nut design made of fiber-reinforced polyamide, as well as SW13 hex thread for safe installation. The model also offers excellent resistance to oil and chemicals and high mechanical resistance, and is available in all standard forms of the M12 range at no additional cost.

Additionally, the M12 Lite series of round plug connectors is best used with Murrelektronik's torque wrench, which ensures consistent quality across all connections, including fully equipped distribution boxes.
