Monoblock Filler/Capper handles over 100 micro-tubes/min.

September 25, 2009 - Along with infeed design that delivers tubes directly into zero-backlash turret, Monoblock Filler/Capper for Micro-Tubes and Micro-Vials features capping station and magnetic stainless steel clutch system. Servo filling and capping design allows MB 120 to handle 100+ micro-tubes per minute (MTPM), and color touch screen is used to adjust pump fill rates as well as servo controls for diving nozzles. While MB 60 fills up to 60 MTPM, mechanical, single-pitch MB 40 fills up to 40 MTPM.

New Monoblock Filler/Capper Design Eliminates Infeed Conveyor for Exceptional Handling of Micro-Tubes and Micro-Vials

September 2009, Blacksburg, VA - The ESS Technologies, Inc. Monoblock Filler/Capper for Micro-Tubes and Micro-Vials incorporates the latest technology to create a high speed system for automatic precision filling and capping. Model MB 120 offers a servo filling and capping design that allows the system to handle over 100 micro-tubes per minute. The large, full color touch screen provides an operator interface to adjust the servo controls for the diving nozzles as well as the pump fill rates.

A unique infeed design delivers tubes directly into the zero-backlash turret, eliminating the need for a container infeed system. This allows for a fast and easy changeover that can be completed in less than 15 minutes typically. Elimination of the infeed also reduces the overall required floor space for system installation. The ESS designed capping station and magnetic stainless steel clutch system guarantee precise, reliable, and repeatable results. Optional servo torque systems are available, allowing immediate torque feedback on every container. Sensors verify correct capping.

Mechanical filling systems may be specified for lower filling speeds or systems that require intrinsically safe controls. Model MB 60 uses servo controls to fill up to 60 micro-tubes per minute, and the mechanical, single pitch MB 40 fills up to 40 micro-tubes per minute. The stainless steel exterior and hard-anodized aluminum inner frame allow for ease of cleaning. Standard machine guarding is constructed of aluminum profile with Lexan panels to ensure safe operating conditions. Select models of the Monoblock Filler/Capper may be designed with intrinsically safe controls and operator panel for filling flammable liquids.
