Toolholder targets heavy-duty metal cutting/rough milling.
September 14, 2009 -
Universal toolholder SINO-R is based on expansion technology system with solid body as pressure medium and utilizes actuation key to clamp quickly. Radial rigidity and dampening minimize noise, and tool holder offers maximum torque transmission of 850 Nm at clamping diameter of 32 mm. Precision-balanced unit includes intermediate sleeves, enabling all common shank diameters to be clamped.
With the new SINO-R, SCHUNK is extending its toolholder product range. SINO-R is especially well suited for heavy-duty metal cutting and rough milling.
The universal toolholder is based on the expansion technology system with a solid body as a pressure medium and is clamped in no time using a simple actuation key. This saves the user a lot of set-up time and considerably reduces unproductive machine down-times.
The excellent interaction of high radial rigidity and very good dampening characteristics is a special highlight that reduces machining noises and increases the smooth running of the tool.
The result: a high service life of the tool and unsurpassed surface quality of the workpiece. Unwanted chatter marks which frequently appear with conventional toolholder systems and expensive reworking are a thing of the past.
SINO-R holds your tool securely, thanks to maximum torque transmission (850 Nm, at a clamping diameter of 32 mm).
An additional plus for the user: the toolholder can be used flexibly thanks to the use of intermediate sleeves. Nearly all common shank diameters can be clamped.
SINO-R is precision-balanced as standard. Both the machine spindle and the lip of the tool are therefore conserved. Company Information: Name: Schunk Address: 211 Kitty Hawk Dr. City: Morrisville State: NC ZIP: 27560 Country: USA Phone: 800-772-4865 FAX: 919-572-2818 http://www.schunk-usa.com
