New Options For Auto-Darkening Welding Lenses
Hornell, Inc. now offers six different protection plate options for the Speedglas 9000 series of auto-darkening welding lenses.
For welders using high-amperage processes, there is the Speedglas High Heat outside protection plate. These injection-molded protection plates are made to withstand temperatures up to 365 F.
The Speedglas® HD (Heavy Duty) outside protection plate offers additional resiliency to scratches and abuse, extending their useable life. Both the Heavy Duty and High Heat plates are available in 5-packs.
Speedglas Passive Filters come in two shades, #1 and #2, and are used in place of the standard inside protection plate. These plates are an economical way for users to extend the shade range of Speedglas Utility, 9000F, and 9000XF lenses, which have factory--set dark shades. For example, a shade #10 Speedglas 9000XF lens can achieve shade #11 darkness by replacing the standard inside plate with a Passive Filter #1. Both Filter #1 and #2 are sold in 5-packs.
