Spellman Expands Its Popular and Versatile UM Product Line

The High Voltage Leader Pushes the Performance Envelope for Voltage/Power in a Compact Configuration

August 26, 2009 - Hauppauge New York - Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation, the world's leading manufacturer of custom high voltage power conversion products, announces the expansion of its popular UM Series modular product line with the introduction of the UM25-35 Series.

The compact UM25-35 Series spans the output voltage range of 25kV to 35kV in three power offerings of 4, 15 and 30 watts. The UM25-35 standard interface provides current programming capability and positive polarity, buffered, low output impedance, voltage and current monitor signals. Current programming allows the user to set the current limit, from 0 to 103% of maximum rated current. The arc and short circuit protected UM25-35 can be used with confidence in demanding applications.

The UM25-35 Series utilizes Spellman's proprietary power conversion technology, high voltage packaging, and encapsulation capabilities. These SMT-based, PCB mountable high voltage modules provide form, fit and function replacement for currently available competitive models, but with improved performance, simpler system integration, and lower cost.

The UM25-35 can be customized, and a variety of options are available to configure units to meet customers' particular requirements. The UM25-35 Series is CE and RoHS compliant; UL approval is pending.
