September 11, 2009 - Dealing with accurate separation of wafers, SingFlow(TM) is fully controlled with automatic compensation for wafer thickness variation and also offers automatic detection/sorting of broken wafers. Stress-free, pure-shear singulation concept delivers fully automated production system that promotes efficiency, throughput, and yield. Modular design, based on throughput requirements, supports output to different configurations of lane-based cleaning systems and/or cassette loading.

CoreFlow Introduces Wafer Singulation System for Crystalline PV Industry


Field-Tested SingFlow(TM) System to be Launched at the 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition in Hamburg, Germany

YOQNEAM, Israel, September 3 -- CoreFlow Ltd., a leading provider of flotation solutions for precision manufacturing environments, announced today the introduction of SingFlow, a field-tested wafer singulation system. SingFlow is the first automatic system that successfully deals with the accurate separation of wafers and thus solves one of the critical steps in the crystalline PV manufacturing process.

SingFlow singulation system is based on a unique, stress-free, pure-shear singulation concept. This patent-pending technology delivers the first field-proven fully automated production system, and improves production efficiency, throughput and yield of the manufacturing process. The modular system design, based on customer throughput requirements, supports the output to different configurations of lane-based cleaning systems and/or cassette loading.

SingFlow features stress-free wafer singulation with a unique control that ensures minimal contact force on the wafer. Minimal wafer manipulations, the integration of customer-specific carrier as well as direct loading to clean lane or cassette enables fully automated system. The singulation process is fully controlled with automatic compensation for wafer thickness variation, automatic detection and sorting of broken wafers and submerged operation in filtered water.
