Parker's New Partek Wrap Adds Abrasion Resistance to Hoses Already Installed, Saving Users Time - Other Uses Include Bundling Hoses and Protecting Cylinder Rods

WICKLIFFE, OH - New Partek Wrap from Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, is an abrasion-resistant sleeve that can be added after a hose has been installed. This saves users the time of removing hoses or the cost of purchasing new ones. Partek Wrap can also be used to bundle multiple hoses/cables together or to protect cylinder rods from damage and contamination.

"The need for a hose sleeve is not often considered when designing an application," said Greg Reardon, Business Development Manager, Parker Hannifin Corporation, Hose Products Division. "It's only when all of the hoses and components are in place that the benefits of sleeving, abrasion resistance or bundling multiple hoses become apparent."

Light weight and highly flexible, Partek Wrap is made from extremely rugged urethane-coated 1050 ballistic nylon. It comes on a 50-foot roll and its tight weave pattern prevents the fabric ends from fraying when cut.

Partek Wrap has an ambient temperature range of -60°F to 200°F and is immediately available in four sizes:

Part Number Bundle O.D. Circumference Open Width (+/- 0.375")
PS-BV-300 3 9.40" 10.90"
PS-BV-400 4 12.50" 14.00"
PS-BV-500 5 15.75" 17.25"
PS-BV-700 7 22.00" 23.50"

Partek Wrap is easy to cut with household scissors and installs quickly. It is one of many hose protection solutions available from Parker's Hose Products Division. Other products include Partek Sleeve, Poly Guard, ParKoil(TM) and Fire Sleeve. Each provides a specific type of hose assembly protection to meet users' different needs.
