Microspectrophotometer utilizes UV-visible-NIR spectroscopy.

September 10, 2009 - Designed for accelerated, non-destructive analysis of diverse samples, Microspectra 121(TM) can be configured to image microscopic samples in UV, visible, and NIR regions. Solution integrates spectrophotometer with custom-built UV-visible-NIR range microscope and software. Analysis can be done by absorbance, reflectance, and fluorescence from deep UV to far into near infrared (NIR). Traceable standards are included, as are variable sample measurement areas.

CRAIC Technologies Introduces the Microspectra 121(TM) UV-visible-NIR Microspectrophotometer

San Dimas, CA (September 1, 2009)-- CRAIC Technologies, the leading innovator of UV-visible-NIR microanalysis solutions for scientific laboratories, announces the Microspectra 121(TM) UV-visible-NIR microspectrophotometer. This system is specifically designed to rapidly, accurately and non-destructively analyze many types of microscopic samples by UV-visible-NIR spectroscopy. Analysis of samples can be done by absorbance, reflectance and fluorescence from the deep UV to far into the near infrared. Applications are numerous and include forensic analysis of trace evidence, questioned documents and currency, vitrinite reflectance of coal and spectral analysis geological samples, measurement of protein both as crystals and in solution and much more. The system can even be configured to image microscopic samples in the UV, visible and NIR regions. Combined with CRAIC Technologies Traceable Standards, which are specifically designed for use with microspectrophotometers and calibrated using Standard Reference Materials from NIST, the Microspectra 121(TM) is a powerful tool needed in any laboratory.

"CRAIC Technologies has been involved with UV-visible-NIR microanalysis since its founding. We have helped to advance the field of microscale analysis with innovative instrumentation, research and teaching. The Microspectra 121(TM) microspectrophotometer is the ideal tool for a laboratory due to the reliability of its data, its speed and its ease of use" states Dr. Paul Martin, President of CRAIC Technologies. "CRAIC Technologies microspectrophotometers are also backed by years of experience of its people in both design and the use of this type of instrumentation for spectroscopic analysis."

The Microspectra 121(TM) solution integrates an advanced spectrophotometer with a custom-built UV-visible-NIR range microscope and powerful yet easy-to-use software to enable the scientist to analyze all manner of microscopic samples. With high sensitivity, multiple analytical techniques (including absorbance, reflectance and fluorescence microspectroscopy) available, variable sample measurement areas and the experience of CRAIC Technologies in microanalysis, the Microspectra 121(TM) is more than just a scientific instrument...it is a solution to your analytical challenges.
