Power Tug Lets You Move Up to 5,000 lbs.
One person can move wheeled loads easily.
Shakopee, Minn., August 3, 2009 - NuStar, Inc. introduces the new and improved Power Tug(TM) pedestrian-operated, battery-powered pusher. The Power Tug is designed to overcome the steering and health-and-safety issues related to moving loads up to 5,000 lbs. with varying or multiple castor/wheel arrangements. Each of the front legs is telescopic and has fixed wheels at the end. These wheels overcome the tendency of loads on swivel casters to wander when being moved.
The Power Tug allows one person to move wheeled loads without forklifts or other more expensive ride-on equipment. It increases productivity by reducing the number of employees needed to move heavy objects. It also creates a safer work environment by reducing the risk of injury. They are less expensive and easier to store than forklifts, plus operators do not need a license.
The Power Tug has a mono-drive wheel design with stabilizing castors so the unit operates smoothly on uneven surfaces, indoors or out. An electric actuator allows you to adjust the single or dual legs to varying heights. It has automatic braking and emergency reverse. The fully programmable control system with butterfly speed control lets you set acceleration/deceleration limits. They are easy to operate and maintain. Like all Power PusherŪ products, the Power Tug has on-board battery charging (110V or 240V input) and sealed, maintenance-free traction batteries with on/off keyed ignition.
