BoardFit: High Currents Requiring Minimum Space

Munich, August 2009 - Yamaichi Electronics introduces its new BoardFit connectors for a wide range of applications.

Yamaichi Electronics enlarges its portfolio of board-to-board and board-to-cable connecters with two new connector types, BoardFit and MatchCon. The BoardFit connectors are described here.

BoardFit (P3/P4 series) unifies the attributes of a miniature connector with the possibility to transfer currents up to 9A. Therefore, the series has been designed with two variants: BoardFit 3.0 possesses a 3mm pitch and transfers up to 5A. If higher currents up to 9A are needed BoardFit 4.2 can be used. Due to its 4.2mm pitch it suites perfectly to such currents. Both types are available as board and cable connectors in different designs, i.e. 90° and 180° but also as SMT or TH solder connection. The extensive pin count from 2 to 24 pins in single or double-row design offers many possibilities for every application. The cable is connected to the contacts via crimp technology. The contacts are tin plated.

Additionally to this connector series Yamaichi Electronics offers a wide range of board-to-board and board-to-cable solutions with different pitches and design versions, e.g. the new MatchCon connectors (MBP/MBS series).
