Office Efficiencies (India) Pvt. Ltd., developers of the popular content filtering software - SafeSquid, have released a new version of SafeSquid for Linux. The new version has gone through major fixes and enhancements, and is expected to perform better, especially under heavy load conditions.
Mumbai, India, August 7, 2009 - Office Efficiencies (India) Pvt. Ltd., developers of the popular content filtering software - SafeSquid, have released a new version of SafeSquid for Linux. The new release, version SR-4.2.2, has gone through major fixes and enhancements, and is expected to perform better, especially under heavy load conditions. This release marks the end of the development cycle on the SafeSquid 4.2.2 series.
Maintenance releases are however planned for 4.2.2, to primarily maintain compatibility upgrades with o/s dependency libraries. These releases will be marked 4.2.2.MR.XX, and will be incremental updates, requiring very little upgrade down-time.
Major distribution changes have been introduced in this release, to make SafeSquid more friendly for evaluation, and product server sizing. Activation key and Security codes have been introduced, to simplify updates and upgrades, without causing any significant downtime. Detailed Product licensing and subscription details, including those of optional add-ons like cProfiles and Pornographic Image Filter, will now be readily visible to users, on the SafeSquid Web GUI. This will also immensely help those, who would like to evaluate SafeSquid, to upgrade a setup from Trial to Production, without requiring any new installations.
There will now be a singular package for SafeSquid Composite Edition for Linux. By Default, all SafeSquid Editions will be full-featured, 3 user Free Editions, that will never expire. But all users who have registered on the SafeSquid Web-Site before August 1, 2009, will be provided with a 'Free Upgrade' to 20 User Edition.
