Field installable on most analog and digital coaxial cables using hand crimping tools, BNC 75 W HDTV Connectors feature gold-plated center and outer contacts, which provide electrical performance up to 6 GHz. Units can handle data rates up to 3 Gbps or higher to support SMTPE292 and SMTPE424 standards. Connectors are suited for cameras, video recorders, and routers, as well as satellite transceivers, aircraft audio systems, and test instrumentation.
With the introduction of HD video signals operating at data rate up to 1.485 Gbps for 1080i and 2.97 Gbps for 1080p, BNC connectors need to perform well at significantly higher frequency than standard BNC.
