July 30, 2009 - Able to be used in mobile or battery-powered applications, 12 V model C-56 communicates via USB or RS-232 serial interface and offers print speeds to 160 mm/sec. It accepts 50-60 g/m² paper ranging from 58-60 mm wide and incorporates 4 in. dia paper roll holder and tear bar. In addition to parking terminals, remote kiosks, and mobile dispensing vehicles, product may be used in other applications where receipt printer with wide temperature range (-30° to +70°C) is needed.

HECON/Hengstler C-56 Thermal Printer Now Available in 12-Volt Version


Workhorse receipt printer can now be used in portable and remote applications.

Aldingen, Germany (July 27, 2009)- The popular HECON/Hengstler C-56 Thermal Printer is used extensively in gas dispensers, kiosks, car washes, and any other application where a robust, reliable receipt printer with a wide temperature range is needed. Now, due to customer demand, HECON/Hengstler has created a 12-volt version of this workhorse printer. The new 12-volt version is ideally suited for mobile or battery-powered applications, which include:

- Parking terminals
- Remote kiosks
- Battery-powered systems, including those with solar charging
- Mobile dispensing vehicles, such as oil delivery trucks

Specifications for the 12-volt C-56 include the following.

- USB or RS-232 serial interface
- Print speed up to 160 mm/sec
- Paper width of 58-60 mm
- Paper weight of 50 - 60 g/m²
- Patented tear bar design to prevent vandalism
- Integrated 4 inch / 100 mm diameter paper roll holder
- Operating voltage: 12 VDC
- Operating temperature range: -30° to +70° C
