Suited for security controlled environments, Flush Wood Acoustic Doors are constructed with conduit in door and provided with AWG18/4 cable solid conductor. Conduit is suited for doors with STC-47 rating and below that are hung on level swing ball bearing hinges where electric hinge transfers power from frame to door. It requires electric locks that fit standard cylindrical and mortise lock preparations and panic devices that require connections on dummy end of device.
Overly Door Company now offers the addition of raceway conduit in their flush wood acoustic doors. These doors meet the growing need for sound doors in security controlled environments.
This offering is for flush wood acoustic doors with an STC-47 rating and below that are hung on level swing ball bearing type hinges where an electric hinge is used to transfer power from the frame to the door. It requires electric locks that fit standard cylindrical and mortise lock preparations without any additional machining and panic devices that require connections on the dummy end of the device. Consult factory with your specific lock to verify that it will be able to be used.
Doors are constructed with a conduit in the door and provided with a cable solid conductor AWG18/4 (18 gauge - 4 lead wire). This wire may be used as supplied for hardware hook-up or for pulling other required wires. Conduits are not large enough to pull QC connectors through the door.
The addition of raceway conduit my affect STC rating. Product was laboratory tested without conduit. Product can be UL fire rated to UL 10B (neutral pressure) and UL 10C/UBC 7-2 (positive pressure) up to 3/4 hour duration.
