Monitors are suited for protecting screw compressors.

July 28, 2009 - Model SE-C1 monitors CSH and CSW series compact screw compressors and HS.64 and HS.74 series semi-hermetic screw compressors, while SE-C2 can be used for HS.85 series semi-hermetic screw compressors. They measure motor/discharge gas temperature, rotation direction, and phase failure as well as phase asymmetry, switching frequency, and oil supply. Status is shown on display with up to 29 operating/fault messages. Units can be used for voltages from 24-230 Vac +10%/-15% 50 and 60 Hz.

New Protection Devices SE-C1 and SE-C2 for Screw Compressors

SE-C1 has been designed for compact screw compressors of the CSH and CSW series and for semi-hermetic screw compressors of the HS.64 and HS.74 series.

The new optional protection devices SE-C1 and SE-C2 for screw compressors have extended monitoring functions and protect the compressor far beyond the general control functions. In addition to motor and discharge gas temperature, rotation direction and phase failure, the devices also monitor phase asymmetry, switching frequency and oil supply. The status is shown on a code display with up to 29 different operating and fault messages thus facilitating a quick analysis of the compressor status. Furthermore, the devices allow a simplified structure of the safety chain providing additional economic benefit.

The protection devices can be used for voltages from 24..230 V AC +10 %/-15 % 50 Hz and 60 Hz and are suitable for operation with frequency inverters. SE-C1 has been designed for compact screw compressors of the CSH and CSW series and for semi-hermetic screw compressors of the HS.64 and HS.74 series. SE-C2 can be used for semi-hermetic screw compressors of the HS.85 series. The devices are available since beginning of 2009.

SE-C1 monitors:

o CSH and CSW series: motor and oil temperature

o HS.64 and HS.74 series: motor and discharge gas temperature

o PTC measuring circuit

o Wrong rotation direction, phase failure and phase asymmetry (voltage interruption)

o Maximum switching frequency

o Oil level (only CSH and CSW compressors)

o Oil flow (only HS.64 and HS.74)

SE-C2 monitors:

o HS.85 series: motor and discharge gas temperature

o PTC measuring circuit

o Wrong rotation direction, phase failure and phase asymmetry (voltage interruption)

o Maximum switching frequency

o Oil supply

o Oil stop valve
