Capital Safety Australia Introduces Their New Tool Safety Straps

Easy-to-use accessory to reduce workplace injury and equipment damage when working at height!

DBI-SALA, a Capital Safety brand solely dedicated to the fall protection market, has announced the launch of their NEW Tool Safety Straps.

The Tool Safety Straps are ideal for use in a number of industries when working at height to keep equipment from falling on people or objects below. They are used to connect to tools and equipment such as drills, hammers, torches, spanners and much more. One end of the Strap connects to the tool and the other end to the users' wrist, fall protection harness, or tool belt.

There are a variety of models available to suit specific requirements, dependant on the type of tool and application being undertaken. They are available in elastic and non elastic models, with either a choke down cord, web loop or clip tool attachment system. Harness connection is via a karabiner and wrist connection is by means of a choke down system.

The elasticated model provides a greater range of motion and connects to your fall protection harness or tool belt, it extends from 1 metre to 1.27 metres and is ideal for bulkier items, or items that are required to be set down on a work platform at your feet, or when using the piece of equipment less frequently.

The non elastic models are shorter, 500mm and 700mm, and connect to your wrist, by either a choker system, or a Velcro locking system model for greater security. They are ideal for use with items such as spanners, screwdrivers, torches, etc. that you want to keep within easy reach, or for items that are used more frequently.

Warning: Care should always be taken when using tool straps around your wrist and attached to your body in proximity to parts and machinery.
