M9501 Quad Channel A/B Switch with Serial Remote, Allows Manual Switching at All Times, Including During Power Loss



Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced the Model 9501 Quad Channel A/B Switch with Serial Remote Control that allows the ability of sharing a single port interface device connected to the COM port among two other devices connected to the A and B ports of each channel. This dependable network switch allows manual switching at all times including during power loss via front panel rotary switches.

Allowing independent control of each channel, this 4-Channel Switch can also be remotely controlled using ASCII RS232 Serial commands and will continue to pass data during power loss while in the Remote position. Switch ports of the Model 9501 are transparent to all data. Seventeen pins of the V.35 interface are switched for each of the three V.35 channels and all pins of the DB25 interface are switched for the one DB25 channel.
