Brighter Light Fixture is the Newest Addition to CARON's Earth-Friendly Innovations

(Marietta, OH, June 8, 2009) A new versatile and ideal lighting solution is the most recent addition to CARON's earth-friendly features. gLux(TM), an energy efficient, high output lighting system, is the latest effort from CARON to offer customers even more earth-friendly options.

The light package comes standard in both the 10 and 25 cu. ft. Diurnal Incubators and is purchased as an accessory for all other 10 and 25 cu. ft. products as accessory number LGHT301 or LGHT303. The lamps in gLux(TM) last more than twice as long and are 65 percent brighter than the earlier design, ultimately consuming less power and lowering operating costs.

In addition to the earth-friendly features, gLux(TM) also includes several customer-friendly features. Bob Dotterer, applications engineer, said customers have come to expect user-friendly and "feature-filled" products and accessories from CARON, and gLux(TM) is no exception.

"gLux(TM) offers modular and adjustable light banks to allow the user to fill the incubator with general or direct lighting of wide ranging intensities," Dotterer said. "We spent a great deal of engineering effort to research a cost effective, high performing and modern technology lighting design for our customers."

gLux(TM) is not only modular and expandable, but also waterproof and directs nearly five times more light than previous designs, without the extra, unwanted heat. The new brighter lights now allow users to perform a broader range of tests than they could before.

"This light fixture has allowed us to cost-effectively extend the operating temperature and humidity range of our products with the lights on," Dotterer said.
